Product Overview

OICE-303 is a flexible paving tile built on a passive radiative cooling rubber-plastic blend polymer sheet, laminated with a non-woven fibre backing. The functional surface incorporates quantum spectral control fillers to achieve high solar reflectance and high infrared atmospheric-window emittance, lowering surface temperature under direct sun through passive radiative cooling. The non-woven backing improves adhesive wetting and mechanical keying, combining cooling, anti-scald, anti-slip, cushioning and chlorine-water resistance in one composite tile.

This technical data sheet is compiled in accordance with ASTM, NSF/ANSI 50, EN 13501, EU REACH, RoHS 2.0 and the ISO 11014 safety data sheet framework. It is intended for water park floors and elevated platforms for rides and equipment, where cooling, burn protection and slip resistance are required together.

1. Product Identification

Product nameOICE-303 Quantum Cooling & Anti-scald Soft Brick
Product typeFlexible paving tile: passive radiative cooling rubber-plastic blend polymer sheet laminated with non-woven fibre backing
Core principleThe surface rubber-plastic blend incorporates quantum spectral control fillers to deliver high solar reflectance and high infrared atmospheric-window emittance, using passive radiative cooling to lower surface temperature in direct sun. The non-woven fibre backing improves adhesive wetting and mechanical keying, integrating the cooling functional layer with the bonding layer while providing anti-scald, anti-slip, cushioning and chlorine-water resistance.
Recommended substratesCement floors and steel stair platforms. The substrate must be sound, flat and dry, free of loose sand, oil and loose debris.
Typical applicationsOpen-air wet pedestrian floors in water parks, walkways around splash pools, elevated platforms for water ride equipment, maintenance walkways, sun-exposed visitor waiting platforms — pedestrian surfaces that must resist sun-induced burns, remain slip-resistant when wet, cushion falls and withstand pool chlorine ageing

2. Key Features

2.1 Quantum passive radiative cooling — The rubber-plastic blend functional surface carries spectrally modified fillers for high solar reflectance and high infrared window emittance. Under direct sunlight, surface temperature is reduced by 8–12 °C compared with conventional flooring, significantly lowering the temperature of floors and open-air platforms and eliminating the risk of contact burns.

2.2 Wet-state anti-slip safety — Designed for continuously wet water park conditions. Excellent wet slip resistance reduces the risk of visitors slipping, meeting anti-slip safety standards for water leisure facilities.

2.3 Chlorinated pool water resistance — The formulation includes a chlorine ageing resistance system, withstanding long-term immersion in pool water with 1–3 ppm free chlorine without blistering, delamination or chalking. Suitable for high-humidity chlorinated environments around spray features and splash pools.

2.4 Long-term weathering and UV ageing resistance — Dedicated UV stabilisers in the polymer system resist xenon-arc ageing, with minimal colour change and low degradation of cooling optical performance in long-term outdoor exposure.

2.5 Flexible cushioning protection — The rubber-plastic elastic substrate gives a soft underfoot feel and absorbs impact from falls, reducing injury risk. Good tensile and tear resistance; will not crack or delaminate under thermal cycling.

2.6 Non-woven composite backing for reliable bonding — The fibrous non-woven backing increases adhesive wetting area and mechanical keying, effectively reducing the likelihood of edge lifting and delamination after installation.

2.7 Low VOC, environmentally and skin friendly — Compliant with EU REACH and RoHS 2.0. Free of phthalates, heavy metals and short-chain chlorinated paraffins, with no SVHC exceedances. Meets the NSF/ANSI 50 hygiene standard for water leisure facility materials and supports long-term skin contact.

2.8 Modular installation and easy maintenance — Individual modular tiles can be cut on site to fit irregular platforms. The dense surface resists soiling for easy routine cleaning, and damaged tiles can be replaced individually without removing the whole floor.

4. Application Instructions

4.1 Process sequence — Substrate grinding, repair and pre-treatment → apply OICE-901 primer → trowel-apply OICE-904 adhesive → lay OICE-303 quantum cooling anti-scald soft bricks → weld seams → sealant treatment at details → cure and hand over.

4.2 Substrate requirements — Substrate strength ≥ 25 MPa, moisture ≤ 9 %, surface sound, flat and dry, free of loose sand, oil and loose debris. Grind sharp protrusions flat. Steel structure substrates require a pre-applied anti-rust primer. Repair and level cracks and holes beforehand.

4.3 Application conditions — Ambient temperature 5–38 °C. Do not install in rain or where the substrate holds standing water.

4.4 Grind the substrate and vacuum to remove defects, bringing it to the required installation condition.

4.5 Apply one coat of dedicated primer to the cleaned, ground substrate. Apply evenly and consistently for a fully sealed film.

4.6 Once the primer has dried and cured for 4–6 hours, trowel-apply OICE-904 adhesive over the full area. Apply evenly with no pooling and no misses.

4.7 After the adhesive has been allowed to flash off for 10–20 minutes, lay the anti-scald soft bricks in the pre-planned direction. Roll thoroughly with a stainless steel pressure roller to expel air and compact, ensuring the fibre layer is fully wetted and bonded by the adhesive. Tiles are butt-jointed, with seams sealed by welding.

4.8 Detail reinforcement — Provide transition treatment at internal and external corners, equipment plinths and expansion joints. Dedicated sealant may be used for joint filling and sealing.

4.9 Curing — After laying, allow 48 hours before foot traffic. Full bond strength, cooling and water resistance are reached after 7 days. Avoid heavy impact and prolonged standing water during curing.

5. Packaging and Storage

5.1 Packaging — Tiles are supplied in rolls, fully sealed in PE waterproof film, shipped on pallets with the model, specification and batch marked on the outer packaging.

5.2 Shelf life and storage — Store factory-sealed in a cool, ventilated warehouse at −10 °C to +40 °C, away from heat sources, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight. Stacking height ≤ 0.8 m; do not stack under heavy load, which can cause permanent compression deformation. Shelf life 24 months. Avoid puncturing or scratching the functional surface with sharp hard objects during transport.

6. Safety and Environment

6.1 A separate Safety Data Sheet compliant with ISO 11014 / GHS is supplied, meeting European and North American export audit requirements. GHS classification: this solid finished tile is not a dangerous chemical. Polymer dust generated during cutting requires protection.

6.2 Protection and waste — Wear safety goggles, a dust mask and protective gloves when cutting. Keep the work area ventilated. Cutting offcuts must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations and must not be discarded into water bodies.

6.3 Compliance — REACH SVHC, RoHS 2.0 and low-VOC system compliant. Contains no heavy-metal pigments and meets the NSF/ANSI 50 hygiene requirements for water leisure facility materials.
